There's much to discover in the Cote d'Azur this summer between April and late October.
Hiking paths stretch from the coastline to the mountain tops of the Cote d'Azur Montagnes. Explore 4000 kilometres of clearly marked paths. There's something for every level of walker and all lengths of excursion, including six "Grande Randonnee" itineraries.
Hikers can choose between gentle treks lasting an hour to a week-long walking holiday complete with a donkey and pack saddle, which are available from April and October.
Discover the Southern Alps with a guided horseback tour. Whether you are an experienced horse rider or a complete beginner, pony trekking in the mountains is available May to late October.
Mountain biking paths, tracks, and trails also thread through landscapes, allowing you to make up your own itinerary.
The river offers many other options for exploring the countryside. From classic canoeing to the excitement of rafting, tubing, hydrospeeding, and floating, all white water sports can be enjoyed on the rivers and torrents of the Alpes d'Azur at your own pace and level.
The Côte-d'Azur Montagnes is a range of mountains with peaks rising to 3000 metres above sea level. Temperatures are higher here than in the Northern Alps and on average there are 300 days a year of sunshine.
