The Arena Skyliner opened in Zell last winter, but this will be the first summer it has run.
This new flying machine, "not for the faint-hearted", is a further development of the Flying Fox, and offers an exhilerating way of seeing the Gerlossstein region.
It runs on four routes with a length of up to 738 metres and has a maximum speed of 50 kilometres per hour. Those wishing to take a ride the Arena Skyliner need to take the Gerlossstein cable car up the mountain. There are also weight restrictions: minimum 40kg/88Ibs; maximum 125kg/275Ibs.
Children aged between 8 and 10 may only use the Arena Skyliner when accompanied by a parent of guardian. Children aged between 11 and 14 must be accompanied by someone over the age of 16.
All the equipment necessary to ride the Skyliner is supplied on site, but sturdy footware is required.
The Zillertal Alps Nature Reserve - an area covering 372 square metres - is made up of narrow gorges, wide valleys, sheer rock faces, glaciers, and towering peaks. Summer holidays are based around the two mountains: Ahorn, the "Leisure Mountain", and Penken, the "Action Mountain".
