The mountain bike specialists, Ride The Alps, have launched the seven-day "Chamonix To Zermatt" mountain bike tour for €715 per person.
The holiday takes mountain bikers on a challenging cross-country route linking the two most popular peaks in the Alps: Mont Blanc in France and the Matterhorn in Switzerland. The ride provides awesome views and spectacular descents.
The price includes half-board meals in traditional alpine accommodation (with one night in a high mountain refuge) and seven days of a professional mountain bike guide. You then have a choice on the level of van support you want (to carry your gear).
Ride The Alps offers you a choice of dates from the beginning of July to the end of September. There are no more than 12 people allowed in each group.
Ride The Alps was created in 2002 by Jamie Carr and is run by Jamie and his partner Mary Kirkbride. The company also offers out-of-season custom trips to more far flung mountain biking destinations as well as individual, private trips for groups of riders.
Other mountain biking holidays from Ride The Alps include "The Eiger Sanction", "Tour du Mont Blanc", "Roam in the Rhone", and "Alpine Singletrack Week".
