The Winter Park Jazz Festival, a 28-year tradition, takes place downtown July 24-25.  Food and craft vendors and a beer garden will be available. It's an intimate setting with spectacular views and music, and restaurants and lodging is just a short walk away.

The festival takes place in Hideaway Park.  General admission tickets are $35 and available now by calling the number listed below.  It's a great lineup of jazz artists. Saturday's lineup includes: Chaka Khan; Brian Culbertson; Craig Chaquico; Dotsero; and Boa & The Constrictors.  Taking the stage Sunday will be: Norman Brown's Summer Storm with Brenda Russell, Phil Perry & Jessie J; Boney James; Ryan Shaw; Hazel Miller; and Jazz Del Barrio. Gates open at 10 a.m. each day.

Saturday night an After-Hours Jazz Show takes place at Winter Park Resort.  Becky Taylor and Jazz at Jack's with Denver's best party band Soul School at West Portal Station.  The party runs from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m.

Lodging and Jazz Festival packages are available through the Winter Park Frasier Valley Chamber of Commerce Web site starting from $90 per person, per night, based on double occupancy.  The offer includes lodging and festival tickets.

The Village Music Series also takes place every Friday night through Labor Day weekend.  The Village hosts a free concert from 4:30 to 7 p.m. in the Gazebo Plaza.  Musical entertainment ranges from homegrown talent to Denver main-stays such as Tempa & The Tantrums.
